Hair Style Question.?

I am a male, '30 something' professional with thin, natural blonde hair. I have worn the same style, which is parted down the middle, for many years. I am interested in changing hair styles but am at a loss as to what I should do. Can anyone suggest a hair style that will look good with thin hair, make my hair look thicker, works well in the corporate world, and does not look outdated. Thanks.

Hair Style Question.?

Keep your hair no longer than 2" on top (part on side vs down the middle...middle parts are dated) clippered with 1/2 to 3/4" on sides and back and blend into the top at the temples. (no weight lines...very dated). Depending on how blonde you are, you may want to consider depening your color a bit to appear a bit thicker, no more than 2 levels. Good luck!

Hair Style Question.?

have you checked out harrison ford lately, that little spiked hair is very sexy and very professional.

Hair Style Question.?

A crew cut is nice but if you don't want it that short try slicking it back. Good luck

Hair Style Question.?

a messy shorter look is always in and it works for business or casual. I love blonde hair in this look!

Shaving Hair?

I have a friend who has very thing hair in the front of her scalp and was thinking about shaving her hair off so that it can regrow. So my question is, will shaving hair on head regrow her hair differently so that the thin hair area on her scalp will no longer be there?

Shaving Hair?

No, the only reason as to why you may think that is because people tend to think that shaving will make hair grow back thicker. It really doesnt, shaving cuts hair bluntly which gives the appearance of it being thicker when it really isnt.

Does waxing really make the hair grow back thinner and lighter?

It is said that waxing and shaving makes no difference and the hair grows back exactly the same. Those who wax say that shaving makes hair thicker and darker, and vice versa. Is there anyone who has tried both or waxed for a long period of time? Does waxing really make the hair thinner? On personal experience, my hairs that were previously pulled out now appear darker and thicker-- and no i don't think i imagine it. So does waxing make hair come back thinner after many times, anyone have recommend waxing or prove that it made hair thinner?

Does waxing really make the hair grow back thinner and lighter?

its true trust me from personal experience. waxing lasts wayyyyyyy longer and comes back lighter and finer each time so that after awhile hair will harbly grow back at all. shaving just cuts the hair follicle so it doesnt really go away but comes back thicker.!!!

Does waxing really make the hair grow back thinner and lighter?

It is possible because with waxing you are pulling the hair from the roots whereas with shaving you are only shaving off what is above the surface and the root is still there. It takes longer for your hair to grow with waxing and it does come in finer.

Does waxing really make the hair grow back thinner and lighter?

yes it really does and eventually the follicle dies...then their is no hair

Does waxing really make the hair grow back thinner and lighter?

its true

Have your thyroid checked. Thinning dull

hair is a symptom of a thyroid problem.

Hair thinning problem... what is causing it and what can i do?

dying will kill your hair extremly fast!!! my mom dyes hers blonde alot and it doesnt grow anymore because it breaks off on the ends and just looks horrible. i suggest you stop dying it all hair dye frys your hair. I currently use Biotin 5,000 iu, vitamin E, vitamin B-12 and a multivitamin. Alot of hair growth is from the inside out. Avacado oil also has alot of vitamins and is great for the scalp and you can also try lavander oil. i suggest you make sure your hair is deeply conditioned once a week. i personally love the avacado oil (rub into your scalp and hair really well) (buy at healthfood stores) and then on top of that rub in the hemp and placenta mix (packets at walmart in hair section) you can also use olive oil as a great moisturizer as well. make sure to wrap your head in a warm heated towel for about 30 mins or so and then rinse really well. Don't shampoo though or else you undo what you have done. My hair came out super soft and not at all greasy, and very tangle free. i suggest you make sure your hair is deeply conditioned once a week. i personally love the avacado oil (rub into your scalp and hair really well) (buy at healthfood stores) and then on top of that rub in the hemp and placenta mix (packets at walmart in hair section) you can also use olive oil as a great moisturizer as well. make sure to wrap your head in a warm heated towel for about 30 mins or so and then rinse really well. Another hair dyeing question?

Okay well, for those of u that already know, I dyed my hair like a month and 1 week ago and at 1st we just wanted to fix my blonde hair w/ more blonde dye but it turned barbie blode so we tried to fix that w/ ash blonde and it turned grey! so then we tried to fix that with strawberry blonde and it pretty much helped. now my hair is sorta dark blonde but they grey is starting to come back. I want to dye my hair light blonde w/ darker brown highlights. can n e 1 give me n e suggestions on what I cud do to fix it, asap ? or like how long I should w8 to dye it? I'de also like it if there are any good suggestions of places to get hair cuts at bcuz I want to get a sorta scene-ish-preppy hair cut [ suggestion pics wud be nice ;) ] [and ez volumizing techniques that work bcuz I have super thin hair]

btw, my hair didnt fall out and I got all the fried ends cut off a couple weeks ago. I use aussie 3 minute miracle also so my hair isnt super dry really.

Another hair dyeing question?

Wow you sound just like me :] I had dyed my hair soo many times that it was falling out and going crazy.

I would recommened you going to a salon and ask them for advice. Your hair will probably need a deep conditioning treatment to put nutrients back into your damaged hair. At that point you could also get your hair cut in a really edgy fun way. (The stylist will know what looks best for your face).

I am not sure where you live , so I can't really recommend any particular salon. I would ask around, and even get a consultation at the salon to make sure you are comfortable with the products they use and their level of experience.

I would NOT do your hair yourself. I'm sure you probably don't want another mishap, so it is definately best to go to a salon.

Hair thinning on the crown. Anyone used Regaine before? Looking for pros and cons regarding its use?

Hi all, I am 27 and for the past 2 years, the hair on the crown of the head has started thinning rapidly. I have read a couple of articles on the internet about using 'Regaine' hair products to stimualte hair growth. I was wondering if anyone out there has been using these products, and can offer any advice regarding going for it, or not. Thanks, VJ

Hair thinning on the crown. Anyone used Regaine before? Looking for pros and cons regarding its use?

Hi, VJ,

I have read about the great results achieved by using Regaine.

I was slowly loosing my hair and went to buy the product.

Unfortunately once at home, I read at the packet that it was not suitable for the over sixties so I had to returned it.

I wish I could have been able so use it and maybe see some good reults.

You are luckier. Right age.

Wish you the best of luck.

Once suggestion, though, if it doesn't work for you, you can always try rubbing the spot with avocado oil.

Is working slowly for me. At least the hair is not falling so much.

Cheers,

Can hair salons do any type of hairstyles?

i got kind a few questions and if any of yall know please answer

(1) can salons change hairstyles permanently?

(2) can they change textured hair, like african texture to fine thin hair or fine thin hair to african tex.?

(3)last one, does anyone know if they can do an exact copy of khleo thomas hair from the movie "holes"? his hair is so tight..

(they=hair salon)

Can hair salons do any type of hairstyles?

yes until it grows out yes they did it with beyonce i think and not sure...

Can hair salons do any type of hairstyles?

no! most hair salons do not have anyone who can do really good styles.....they will SAY that they can though...the best thing is to watch them do some styles and when you see a person who knows what they are doing ask them if they can do what you want...dont trust 'em till you have seen 'em in action! i have had ruined hair more than once from expensive salons.....as for ? #2, there is some really cool stuff named Chi that my friend used and it turned her very very curly hair straight and it looked great!check it out....

Can hair salons do any type of hairstyles?

1-no most hair salons can't change hairstyles permanently.

2-you are born with the texture of your hair, so you can't change it, however you can make the apperance of it seemingly change. but then it goes back to q1, it won't be like that forever

3-lol, um the curly afro do? if your hair is finely textured than you will probably need to use a texturizer to attempt to get that look.

make sure you find a salon that specializes in do's such as khleo's, then talk to them about the reality of your hair.

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

my hair has drastically thinned over the past year..probably a little more than a year. it grows just fine..3-5 inches past my shoulder. i don't have any bald spots..it's just a lot thinner than it should be..which makes it hard to style..should i consider a hair implant/transplant?

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

yes.

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

Have you talked to your doctor to check for any kind of vitamin deficiencies or immune system problems? It could be a real issue, especially as a teenager. He/She will be able to help you with the transplant issues, but there could be even something more serious! Good luck!

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

If there are no patches and you don't notice alot of hair falling out you should be fine. You are probably just growing into your hair. Alot of people have thin hair and if you are concerned you could get a transplant but I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

If it annoys you, you should get some transplants. If it doesn't annoy you, cut your hair short and have fun.

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

Maybe you should talk to your doctor to make sure nothings wrong but if it isn't then try a volumized hairspray. If thats not your problem then i might consider it if i were you.

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

Try not using any heated tools on your hair. E.g straightners, curlers e.t.c.

If blow drying your hair...ALWAYS ALWAYS use a pre-treatment heat defence. I recommend Treseme, since it's well-known and known to work a hell of good.

Try just using a shampoo, lots of bad conditioners tend to make hair weak and fall out.

Try not to use hairspray/gel too much. This can damage your hair at first, make it brittle, and obviously slightly harder to wash out. And not to colour your hair to much either.

I don't think a hair transplant is an option at your age, I've heard a lot of the time it goes wrong and is totally noticable. Try clip in extensions or hair pieces . Glued ones, make the hair thinner.

Could be some vitamin deficiencies or something like that...I suggest just going to your GP for info.

I may sound like an idiot. But yes Im only fifteen, but my hair has also thinned out a bit over the past year or so. Just try different stuff, but ALWAYS remember to pre treat your hair!

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

Why not see a dermatologist? He or she should be able to determine whether or not your hair is actually thinning and, if so, should be able to diagnose the cause. Autoimmune illness, thyroid condition, and hormonal issues could be the cause.

Age 17 w/ thinning hair?

I think you'll be all right. And you can make the decision of getting hair transplants. I would suggest using V05 Extra Body Conditioner. And don't brush your hair A LOT. That will cause breaking and some thinning. So just think positive thoughts, consult your doctor and take care of yourself!

I was on prednisone for 2 months. 2 months after stopping drug I noticed hair thinning!!!?

I was on prednisone for 2 months. 2 months after stopping drug I noticed hair thinning!!!?

oh my god...yes! never again will i go on that drug. like the song said;by PINK; instead of making me better it's making me Ill'.....the only solution for the receding hair w/loss is a good dermatologist!! trust me. nothing else can help due to the fact that it comprise your immune system. over the counter and home remedy's are just wasting time ,money and HOPE! the Rx you'll need will have to be blended just for you. be very careful around people with any kind of illness 'cause your very venerable right now. see a Rx and Dr. ...asap!

Hair loss on temples please help!?

I am 16 and have very very thin hair. My whole scalp is visable and has been like this since 14. Blood tests have been done and all is ok.

I think it could be male pattern baldness as my dad is bald, but no one has lost there hair on my mums side.

Do you lose hair on the temples with male pattern baldness? My temples are just as thin as my top and my dad has more hair on his temples compared to me.

Will I have no hair even on my sides when I am 18?

Hair loss on temples please help!?

About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

HoW CAN I DAMAGE MY HAIR ?????????

By damaging your hair doesn't mean that's gonna make-it disappear! And also you can damage your skin also.So I don't think that's a good idea! When I was very young,I tried to burn off my hair from my legs, but all I did it was a very nasty smell in the house! And of course the hair grove back the same it was before!

HoW CAN I DAMAGE MY HAIR ?????????

You should get sand paper and rub ut anywhere you have hair (accept your underarms)

HoW CAN I DAMAGE MY HAIR ?????????

They have these devices called epilators now, and they look kinda like electric shavers. Basically there are pieces inside it that pluck your body hairs from your skin. It's similar to tweezing, but more at a time. I will not lie, it does hurt a bit but it's not unbearable. Waxing hurts a lot more. But as you use it over time, the hairs stop growing in, or at the least they will grow in very sparsely. I used it on my legs only once or twice and a bunch of the hair didn't come back at all. It plucks from the follicle, so the whole thing comes out and takes a while (around 2-3 weeks) to come back if it does. The epillators cost about the same as an electric shaver, and are sold next to the nair and stuff in beauty supply stores or drugstores. They have a spray you can buy that is supposed to numb your skin somewhat, and it also helps if you take a painkiller before you use the epillator

HoW CAN I DAMAGE MY HAIR ?????????

Maybe you should try to bleach it repeatedly. There really is no other way but laser. Read this: http://www.epinions.com/content_52816416...

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

my hair is like sorta wavy and has alot of volume to it but i want it to be really thin at the ends and really straight do you have any ideas how to make it thin? how to straighten hair properly?

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

when you get your hair cut ask them to razor the ends, I have extremely thick hair and always have this done.

as for straightening, use a straight serum and heat protection spray. however, if you're straightening every day I highly recommend relaxing you hair, I used a natural relaxer on my friend and her hair was in healthier after we relaxed it than before:

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

find a hairdresser who will cut your hair with a razor.

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

Get lots of layers and straighten your hair. Hope I helped!

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

use gel or sunsilk then iron it straight it might come out right

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

straighten it....

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

Well i have the same hair as you, and if you cannot get it professionally thinned at a salon then what you should do is only put conditioner at the end of your tips when washing so that it will stay moist and down. And also if you use any sort of hair product that straightens your hair like a sleeker or something apply more at the tips. hope this helped!

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

Try getting layers to thin out the ends a bit. And you could invest in a fifteen dollar ceramic hair straightener at wal mart.

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

go to a salonist and ask them to add a few layers around the bottom of your hair

also ask the to razor it not use sissors

razoring your hair makes it thinner and have less defined edges but it also looks very cute

hope this helps :)

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

You could try using a good straightening iron. But if i had wavy hair,I wouldn't do anything with the tips.Be thankful you have wavy volumey hair!I wish I had it!I say don't try to thin your hair!

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

Use a straightening iron or a real big round brush and smooth out the ends.....Aveda hair products are good too! they have a straightening gel that works great...

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

My hair is like that too. All you can do is simply get a perm. or straighten it. I bought a cheap straightener that works when your hair is wet, too. That's what I recommend.

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

hairdressers have a little tool that thins out the hair. I have too much hair too, and it must be thinned constantly. Ask a hairdresser to thin it out...they should know what it means.

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

trim it and straighten it

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

you can just ask whoever

people get it done all of the time

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

I think there is some sort of cutting tool. I don't know but I want to so I stared the question for you!

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

Use a hot oil treatment, then blow dry hair. Pull up top 2/3 of hair. Use a flat iron to straighten bottom layer of hair. Put rest of hair down and straighten the tips of the top 2/3 layers. For fun, use a small flat iron to take top 2/3 layers and wrap hair around outside of iron. Start wrapping the hair 2 inches away from the tips, to even out your waves

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

i think if you go to the salon they have scissors that will thin it... ask your hairdresser

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

If you straighten your hair in smaller sections it can help for a better quality straighten. As far as making your hair thinner, you just have to have it trimmed and thinned out. you should be able to go to a hair salon and they'll do it for you.

How do i make my hair thinner at the tips?

you sould go to a pro but at the ends take a razor and just go up and down until u have the desired thickness.... or get layers at the bottom

Women and hair loss...replacement? rogaine?

Is there any women out there that have had hair replacement or have used a hair regrowth system due to thinning or already thinned hair? What did you do? Did it work? Do you have to continuously use it? Men can answer too. I am a 38 year old female who has always had thin hair due to having seizures when I was younger. The tests and the medications caused my hair to thin. I haven't had a seizure since I was 10 and am no longer on medicine, however, my hair has never regrown. I am very self conscious about it. I want to try new styles and I don't want to feel like everyone is looking at my scalp ya know? any advice??? and please just real answers or advice. thanks

Women and hair loss...replacement? rogaine?

over the counter products give the feel and confidence of long thick hair They aren't a reliable solution . I have had clients get hair pieces that look like the real thing . They are light weight and easy to maintain .

my suggestion to you is to get a good short cut and take vitamins . The longer you are off of meds the healthier you hair will be .

Have you ever considered wigs .? I sell them and there are many styles . Check out Racquel Welch line of wigs they are beautiful.

Women and hair loss...replacement? rogaine?

I was recently told that using garlic shampoo can stimulate hair growth with daily use... my boyfriends uncle had been missing a patch of hair for years, and he started using it and is natural hair actually started filling in. It could be worth trying!

Oily skin and greasy hair, HELP?!?

I have combonation skin and it's a pain in the butt. I also have acne and have come to accept the fact the only time can help me, but how long exactly are we talking? I'm 15, will I be 20 by that time? Or can it happen in a year? I waisted around $1000 on acne producs and face washes. Any advice? And at school after a couple of hours my face gets really oily.

My hair gets really greasy. I have to wash it everyday or else I feel so nasty in the morning. I know washing your hair alot makes it thinner and weaker and I already have very finr thin hair. I have tried sooo many volumizing shampoos and conditioners, but of course they don't work. Also, in school after about 4 hours, my hair gets really stringy and thinner.

And one more question, if I took a shower in the morning before school, will my face stay dryer and my hair thicker. And its really weird, in the summer I don't have any acne or oily skin, but all other seasons it sucks. Help me please.

Oily skin and greasy hair, HELP?!?

i have that problem too. went in depression for bout a month

1. after you take a shower in the morning, put oil free moisturizer on your face. shampoo your hair in the morning.

2. tie back your hair and keep it out of your face when you don't need to look gorgeous.

3. when you sweat tie back your hair and make sure you wash off the sweat.

4. don't touch your face.

5. don't pick, squeeze or pop any zits no matter how tempting it is.

6.try using pro active to get rid of acne, or biore to control it.

7. when your face gets oily at school wipe off some oil w/ a moist towel.

8.only condition your hair from the ears down.

9. eat healthy. follow the food pyramid

10. drink lots of water! it hydrates your skin and hair and flushes out all the impurities in your body.

Oily skin and greasy hair, HELP?!?

well i use to have acne like for 2 years and it all started goin away the middle of last year if u have bangs keep them up as much as possible and ur hair when u sleep well i dont know wht else to say

good luck

Hair extension?

I want hair extension but i want to know how the process work? I have thin hair and hair extension can make my hair look more volumize and full. I want it to look and be completely professional and how long can i keep it until i have to take it out? can i tye up my hair if i get hair extension? Does it hurt? b/c some ppl stitch it to the head. Thank You.

Hair extension?

If you don't want to do something so permanent, that won't damage your hair, you might consider trying the new Jessica Simpson clip-in hair extensions. They are fantastic. They come in many colors, including high/low lighted. You can also make your hair shorter, with some of her extensions.

I am a licensed cosmetologist and can tell you that it will damage your hair to some extent getting extensions. The extent of damage will depend on the type of extensions, and the person applying them.

Hair extension?

yup u can tie ur hair up.. and do nythin u want no theyre not stitched but theyre glued tht glue is invisible though u cnt c it.. but hair extensions defentlli add an asset to ur looks! i would advice ni1 to have them.. "}

Hair extension?

I got extentions for my brothers wedding, they looked really good. I would definatly try them out. They just glue them in and they dont hurt. they give you extra glue too so you can fix them. they only stay for about a week.-

Hair extension?

the extensions are not stitched directly into the head. if you want them sewn in, you would have to get cornrows in your hair first, so that way they can be sewn to the braid not the scalp. it only hurts if they miss the braid, and if you never had cornrows in your head before, you won't even feel the needle after that.

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or so

can u help me or help me with a desison ? my hair is dirty blond. it goes to about my elbows and it dries fast , its poofy and curly . if i cut it shorter and thin it out it will be poofyer and little bit thinner. also easier to manage. it will be shorter and easier to brush and straiten i dont know if i should leave it or cut it , my goal is no poof

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

I have hair just like that and the only way i can get it straight and not poofy is to flat iron it. You can get your hair thinned but that just gives you more flyaways and frizzier hair. You're right, the shorter your hair is the poofier it is. My advice to you is to get a trim and instead of trying to get y our hair flatter and less poofy you should apply moose to it and embrace your curls by scrunching your hair. The moose will give you banana curls and eliminate the frizz.

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

Well if your hair is dry, cut it. Maybe just a trim would be goo enough. If you don't want any "poof", try blow-drying your hair and straighten it a little bit while blow-drying to make it wavy. Also put in straightening cream/gel stuff before blow-drying so it doesn't become curly and poofy again after blow-drying.

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

well you can go to your hair salon and ask to get it razored cut. the razor is used to thin the hair so there's less bulk, and less bulk = less poof. i think they razor the middle of you hair and you'd prolly end up with layers, but i've heard that his razor cut helps a lot. i'm thinking about getting it, but i just got regular layers so i'm still waiting for my hair to grow out. but yeah, ask about it. hope i helped and good luck!

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

go to the salon and have them chemicaly perm relax it all they do is add perm solution and comb it strait 30-60 $$ it lasts a long time and great results

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

Mmm...

You can straight perm your hair.

and curl it on occasions or everyday.

Or you can striaght perm it...

Then perm it wavy.

I have thick dried out hair and i need thinner and less frizzy hair without getting it thinned out p

i do not want my hair thinned out. i want a shampoo that REALLY works and i need advice on how to keep it thin, straight, and non-frizzy. Name some shampoos and conditions and some hair styles. PLEASE. i want most of u all to be expierenced with this. PLEASE i want to be noticed!!!!!

I have thick dried out hair and i need thinner and less frizzy hair without getting it thinned out please help

I feel your pain, my hair's the same way. And it seems that no matter what shampoo/conditioner i use, it's naturally just that way.

What finally got it to calm down and be the smooth, straight, shiny hair I wanted was a straightener. I bought a Chi hair straightener from my hair stylist and it's like a dream. It sooths the cuticles of the hair and really seals everything to keep it from frizzing. The only thing you need to worry about is making sure you don't damage your hair with all that direct heat. I use Zero Frizz Shine Mist, but any kind of 'shine spray' works nicely. Section your hair off, spritz a couple of times on each chunk (do maybe 2 inches at a time). Takes a little bit of time, but it works.

I have thick dried out hair and i need thinner and less frizzy hair without getting it thinned out please help

the john frieda shampoo and conditioner is awesome. and also the john frieda frizz-ease shine serum works miracles too.

I have thick dried out hair and i need thinner and less frizzy hair without getting it thinned out please help

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny shampoo/conditioner/serum WORKS.

I have thick dried out hair and i need thinner and less frizzy hair without getting it thinned out please help

I would recommend a product by "I. S. O." called "Bouncy Cream" it is light enough to allow the hair to curl but not frizz.

Also please invest in a shampoo for chemically treated hair. (Chemically treated shampoo has less detergent than a shampoo for normal hair.)

I would also suggest a moisturizing conditioner.

If you get all the products from a salon you will be much happier with the results.

What most people do not know is that when they by a product for hair from let's say, Wal-Mart, C. V. S., Walgreens, etc, etc, etc... is that the product has been watered down.

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for over thirty years.

Hope this helps.

Help me fix my damaged hair please!!!!! :(?

Back in June, I had a bad highlight job that basically ate off my bangs and FRIED my hair. She cut it up to my ears too. I cried and cried. I have fine thin hair by the way and am caucasion. My hair was naturally curly too. By October, my hair had grown down to my chin and was FRIZZY DRY BROKEN and YUCK!! Wouldn't hold any style, but it had at least grown. I went to a well-respected hair dresser (I checked around) then and she said she could do the chi straightener for chemically treated hair and not leave it on long and only do the length, not the bangs since they were still fried and short. She did such and it looked better but was still thin looking and broken all over. This was in October. Now, 3 months later, I have bangs, and it has grown to shoulder length, but the sides and around my crown are still broken and damaged. Everyone says it looks so much better than before, but I am so impatient and want it to hurry up and get back to good. WHAT CAN I DO????

Help me fix my damaged hair please!!!!! :(?

Use lots of conditioner. I've heard if you leave it in your hair longer, your hair will absorb all the good stuff. If that doesn't work, use leave in conditioner.

Help me fix my damaged hair please!!!!! :(?

brazil nut Defien and No Frizz hair ceram from the body shop. Very Good!!

Help me fix my damaged hair please!!!!! :(?

I would head back to they well-respected hair dresser and let her do her magic again.

I have this stuff that is like a foam that is supposed to add volume. I don't remember the name though. I got it at the hair cut place and it works really good. I think it is Paul Mitchell.

Question about hair weaving and sew in extensions?

I have fine thin hair that has been chemically damaged back in October by the chi permanent straightening system. I asked a professional stylist in my area about getting extensions to add just a little length and volume to keep me from washing and drying every day as this mess grows out, but she said the glue in extensions, which are the only kind she can do, would end up breaking my hair off further. Are the sew in extensions or hair weaving methods safe on fine thin hair without breaking it and if so, where can they be done in North Louisiana, south Arkansas, or Mississippi or Texas?

Question about hair weaving and sew in extensions?

well..i think its best you dont get these hair extension

because..it can damage your hair more and all your hair can fall out because of to much preassure to your hair foliciles

Question about hair weaving and sew in extensions?

she is right about the glue extensions. It would be much better to get them sewn in.

Hair Help!!! I have been experimenting with different ways for fix my hair problems, and I need sugg

I have had thin hair since I was 17, when I had a bout with anorexia. I am 20 now. The thinning looks like female pattern baldness, and I am a male! Nobody in my family lost their hair this early in life. NONE of them.

I haven't shampooed or conditioned my hair in four and 1/2 weeks, as part of an experiment to see if the shampoos were too harsh, and if they were causing hair loss. Since then, my skin problems on my back and forehead have disappeared completely, and my hair has been very shiny and soft. It doesn't smell, either. But I still cannot get any increased growth on the top. What should I do?

Go to your Dr. for a Rx of hair growth stuff.I also think you can buy it at a store? I am telling you this, massage your scalp in small gentle circles. The massaging will help the blood circulation and get things flowing..I don't know about it growing back, but if it is going to have any chance, this is it.

Anyone lost hair like this?

I am 16 and have suffered from severe hair loss for the past 2 years. My hair line has not receded and the hair line has a very thick band of hair. However, the rest of my hair is extremely thin all over my head, the sides on my head has very thin hair as well.

Anyone with male pattern baldness lost there hair this way? I have no idea why I am losing my hair however my dermatologist says that is not just not normal male pattern baldness.

Anyone lost hair like this?

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

so what product will make my hair like this?

Help!!! I want my hair to look like ...........?

Bed Head products work GREAT!

Use the volumizing shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Make sure with the shampoo you SCRUB your roots. Conditioner, get alll over your head, (flipping your head %26amp; rinsing the conditioner might be a good idea if you want it more "up")

Once you get out of the shower, I use this pantene volumizing spray all around my hair. Then a bunch of hair spray (while wet) Get a wide-tooth comb, flip over your hair and comb thru your hair. If you blow-dry your hair, also flip over your hair and blow-dry from neck down to end of your hair (If that makes since? haha)

If you want extra boost on your hair, like in certant parts, Get Catwalk Root Boost, spray at roots, and spread it in. Do not go thru out your hair with this, it'll make your hair very greasy %26amp; gross. Or put the root boost on your fingers, and rub your scalp/roots where you want it volumized.

I'm pretty good with styleing hair. if you need anymore help, just contact me :].

Help!!! I want my hair to look like ...........?

use garnier fructis volumizing mousse

Help!!! I want my hair to look like ...........?

Shampoos don't seem to work but there is a product by Redkin called root lifter that you put in your hair before blow dry , and it actually WORKS!My stylist used it on me when i got my haircut a few weeks ago. My stylist told me that access oils flatten hair and the root lifter dries the oils and naturally lifts the roots. It lifts your roots and gives you great volume to your hair, which in turn makes it look thicker. it a great product. Its really worth checking out!

Problems with my hair extensions.?

My friend got me these 18" long hair extensions and i adore them a couple of months ago! I love how long they are, LOL only problem is, my hair is shoulder length. So it doesn't really look that good when i put the extensions on. I really do not wanna cut of the extensions cause i am saving my hair to long hair.

I have extremly thin hair so i can only layer the xtensions 2 or 3 rows. And sometimes, i worry that the "clip on's" are visible.

Does anyone have any ideas of what i should do? and how i can aviod showing where my hair ends and where the extensions begin.

I was thinking of trying to curl it, but thats only gonna make the hair come off as even thinner.

ANY HELP HERE PLEASE?

10 points for best answer

Problems with my hair extensions.?

Do big loose messy curls. That's what most people do when they want to hide them..

Problems with my hair extensions.?

dont worry about cutting your extensions a good thing to do is ask your hair dresser to blend them with your natural hair like layers and stuff!

gooooood luck! :)

Problems with my hair extensions.?

I always straighten my hair and put a little oil sheen in before I put extensions in .It helps the natural hair blend in better.I know you don't want to cut it,but if you layer it in semi-long layers, your natural hair will blend in. Or you try using an 8" or 10", until your hair gets a little longer.

Problems with my hair extensions.?

try getting a 10 inch for top or a 12inch cause i have shoulder length hair and it blends well with the 18 inch

i have a picture of my hair the top is a 10inch and the bottom is a 18 http://i27.tinypic.com/i44f1h.jpg

Problems with my hair extensions.?

Hair extensions should be placed very low on your head. Especially so for the first row. By doing this you will avoid that "cut-off" look you can get if there is a big difference in length between youir hair and the extensions.

Clip-on's suck! Trust me on that one honey. Of course the clips are going to show! They're clips! Your best bet for lengthening your hair is to bond the extensions. This is a very easy process and lasts for up to a week before you must remove them and reapply them. Also, you have more control over where they are placed.

If you need more information or would like to check out my favorite extensions go to

http://www.eternalhair.com

There you will find a lot of info on extensions as well as bonding glue and more.

Good luck and hair's to ya,

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

This makes look like only a 15yr old boy....so nly asking

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

become clean shave and it looks more attractive. As you start shaving, your facial hairs also grow.

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

Either you don't keep any moustache or restyle your hairstyle for a manly face. Building some muscles helps too.

A moustache doesn't necessary makes you look older, it can make u appear more messy or odd esp. if you don't hv much facial hair.

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

mabie there are special products u can buy online or like at a store.....? lol or u can look it up on google cuz they have lots of interesting ideas on there :P well good luck anyway hope i helped :)

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

ok drink lots of o.j calcium triggers facial hormones i suggest about 8 glasses of O.j a day that should help u wit facial hair

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

I've had facial hair since I was nineteen. I looked like a little boy until I was well into my twenties, when the testosterone kicked in fully, and my moustache blossomed into the fu-manchu it is today.

My suggestion: do nothing. This problem will resolve itself.

Women will tell you to get rid of the moustache. Don't listen! If you do, next they'll have you carrying their purse!

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

Personally, I think that if you do not have enough facial hair to grow a moustache then you shouldn't even try. I think it looks worse when you have a thin, teenage looking thing going on. Just stay clean cut...that way you won't have to worry about it

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

shave it off not many girls like guys with a mustache i mean seriously it makes guys look icky and sick no offense

I'm 21 yrs old. very thin moustache and not enough facial hair. any suggestion to make grow?

Miracle Grow... just kidding

It'll probably grow on it's own, give it some time.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

I hardly ever put my hair in water when i shower (only when i was it) but what really is the point?

-- oh and if you can answer this quesiton too..; is it bad to use hair straighners, blow dryers, curlers every day?? b/c i do it.. and i'm wondering if my hair is gonna look really bad and thin when i'm older

i'm just worried about this b/c if you look at my mom right now (she's 46) she has reaally thin hair thinner than mine and she doesnt have gray hair .. it's SO THIN, knotty, dry, and frizzy. i'm scared i might get hair like her when i'm older cuz hers looks really bad..

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

I have to wash mine every day or it looks greasy because I'm always touching my hair.

You should try and lay off all the straighteners and blow dryers and all that like on a day maybe you're just staying in the house and it won't matter or put it up one day to give it a break.

You should get a heat protector spray or something if you really need to use all that stuff every day because you'll be frazzling it otherwise.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

to wash it... duhh and to make it smell good :P

if you do EVERY day then yeah but try to keep it on med and not high and make sure ur hair is dry when you do it too.. cuase if it isnt you will make it dry.... and maybe u will get her hair just wash it.. and when u do keep the conditionar in for like a min longer then the shampoo so it doesnt get dry or knotty :P well bye! :D good luck

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

people who shower daily jsut wash their hair in the shower, yes it is bad to use tohse products daily, they burn yuor hair anda are danamging it

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

i wash my hair every day so that's why i wet it every time i shower. thinning hair is often hereditary or can also be due to stress. knotty, dry, frizzy hair can be due to over processing -- so yes, straighteners and hair coloring can cause this.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

You should ALWAYS wash your hair when you shower!! Yes your hair can get fried if you use straighteners, curlers, etc. everyday.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

Normally, each time I shower I wash my hair, that's why I do it.

The question about heating products--I suggest you give your hair some days off. In generally if you are off a couple of days, why not do some hot oil treatments and lay out side or sit under a dryer. Something that will keep the heat going. This will give your hair a much needed break and will keep it conditioned so that when you do use those products, your hair will be a bit stronger and more easy to manage. Just because your mom has that type of hair doesn't mean you have to. But like everything else you must take care of it, starting now..

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

Ok so i wash my hair every day or else it gets greasy but i dont know why people would wet it and not wash it. That would be pretty stupid.

But for the second question, yeah straighteners and stuff are bad for your hair. They make it dry and sometimes it breaks. It's ok to use them 2-3 times a week but you shouldnt use them every day for damaging purposes.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

People wet their hair because it needs to washed....

And yes using straighteners, blow dryers any heated objects will damage your hair. There are products that you can apply prior to using the heat in a way to protect the hair from breakage, but this doesn't completely work but will help a great deal. You shouldn't use them everyday, just let it be natural once in a while.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

it's easier to wash yoour hair when you shower, just because it takes a few minutes extra. Also, straightening cannot affect new growth of hair, so dont worry. Your mum probably dyes her hair if she has no greys, this will make it thin and knotty, as it damages your hair badly, especially if she is blonde.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

I would say that depends on how often you tak a shower. people wet their hair to clean it. If you use a lot of hair products everyday you need to be using a shampoo and conditioner (every time you shower!) that will keep your hair moisturized and healthy.

Thin hair is probably more part of genetics. Take care of yours while you can.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

the point of wetting your hair every time they shower is to wash [shampoo and conditioner] it. if u dont it will get greasy and gross.

unless you treat your hair better than your mother did, ull most likely end up with the same type of hair.

Just wash ur hair atleast every otehr day and try not to straighten it or blow dry it everyday bcuz it WILL damage ur hair BADLY.

try 2 only dio that once a week at the most bcuz u will get a lot of split ends. Ur hair will look realallyy bad in the long run

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

Okay. u dont have to wet ur hair all the time. do u have a black friend? if so ask them about plastic caps. u can find find it in an ethic hair care isle in walmart or where ever.

Why do people wet there hair every time they shower? why don't they keep it out of the way?

I think you should get your hair wet when you shower. If you think about all of your daily activites you probably do alot of stuff. I sweat alot and I dont like my hair being oily or greasy. If you are in the shower and are already washing your body, might as well wash your hair too. But thats just me

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but..

I want to keep the length....right now it's layered a little towards my face and down the middle of my back. The shortest layer is a little past my shoulders.....Help!!!! What should I do???

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but....?

lucky I wish i had hair like yours!!!

well you could try to use scrunch spray on it then put it up in a messy bun and lea a couple of lose hairs out near the front

You could try buying a curling iron and curling it

You could try braiding your hair when its wet and leaving it in that would make it curly.

You could put your hair half up half down

french braid it (1-2 french braids)

theres many things

good luck

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but....?

You can still dye it what would be the problem??? Are you doing it yourself or having a perfissonal doing it ???? if you are doing it use 2 boxes longer hair you will need more dye...you can keep your lenght if you are dying it ,, it doesnt change anything

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but....?

that is exactly how my hair is... it is super straight that i can only have curls for like an hr then it will dissappear and its super thin... and i had it very long... but last week i cut my hair so its a lil bit longer than my shoulders and i hve layers... when u have layers stiking out especially when u have thin hair, it looks great because it looks like u have more hair than wat u really have

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but....?

Start ur layers at the end of ur chin and try new hairstyles.

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but....?

I just want to say that you are extremely luck to have straight hair....my hair is sooo curly that even when I straighten it, it curls and poofs. But for you, I think you should get it cut to like right above your chest, and have it layered in like choppy layers....that would def give it some body...you could also get some volumizing shampoo.

Katie

I think long hair looks great with layer and lots of flowing loose curls!

My hair is straight as a board and thin...but I have a lot of it. I am dying to get a new look but....?

Well, seeing as how you like the length and it's already layered, how about some highlights and/or change of hair color? Parting your hair differently or getting bangs? If you don't want to dye your hair, try some new hair do's. Maybe try pinning your hair half up or all up with the trendy "yorkie" (front poof). You can also think about getting a perm (large soft waves or whatever you like). Or you can do all of the above! So many things to try! I hope this helps and you find somethign you really like!!! Good luck!! =)

My hair is falling off and is getting thin. I am only 30 years old, what should I do?

Hair loss can be a symptom of many conditions, most of which are diagnosed via lab work, so make an appointment with your MD. If the hair is falling out, not breaking off, it could be due to low thyroid, iron deficiency, recent pregnancy, an endocrine issue, an infection...In males, hereditary factors play a vital role in hair loss. See why some blood tests are in order?

Generally speaking, hair falling out has a medical cause while hair breaking off is caused by environmental factors (harsh chemicals, aggressive use of heat appliances, excessive tugging - like a ponytail- and such).

It is really distressing, I bet, to be losing your hair at such a young age but the problem is not uncommon. Many dermatologists specialize in treating hair loss because there is such demand for that expertise.

Most vitamin supplements won't be of use if the hair loss is already dramatic, and there have been questions raised about the safety of taking biotin (the traditional "cure" for problems with hair and nails) - I would confer with a doctor before deciding to self-treat with any of them.

My hair is falling off and is getting thin. I am only 30 years old, what should I do?

I know my anwser is going to sound serious...but you should go to the doctor...you many have something wrong with you..your hair shouldnt be falling out already!

My hair is falling off and is getting thin. I am only 30 years old, what should I do?

Did you recently have a baby, or are you pregnant?

My hair came out in clumps while pregnant, and for about a year after.

My hair is fine now.

Do you color/perm/blowdry your hair? If so, maybe give it a good conditioning treatment, and lay low on the chemicals for a while.

Lastly, if none of the above apply to you, talk to your physician.

My hair is falling off and is getting thin. I am only 30 years old, what should I do?

Well start drinking alot of water and taking one a day vitamins. Also try changing your shampoo to mane and tale and keep it conditioned very well. Drink one bow of jello water a day it does wonders for your hair.

My hair is falling off and is getting thin. I am only 30 years old, what should I do?

I was losing my hair at the age of 16. By the age of 30 I had no crown. I decided to go bald I was half way there already. For the last ten yrs I have been bald and it was hard as hell to keep the women off me. I don't like to sound conceited, but it's the truth. Go bald young man, Go bald. you won't regret it.

My hair is falling off and is getting thin. I am only 30 years old, what should I do?

start drinking lots of water

try not to wash your hair a lot (honestly hair should not be clean all the time, the dirts, and oils helps it grow)

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

O.K. I'm 14 years old. Im currently using Ceramic Hot Tools Straightener. Iv had it since i was 13 and it's time for a new one. Money does not matter. I would like a CERAMIC hair straightener that works well. I have VERY thin hair, and naturally straight but i straighten it anyways. Don't ask why. I just do, it makes it look nicer. I heard CHI is good, but i don't need such a high temerature cause my hair is thin.

ALSO* My hair is dry. Are there any products that WORK and that will get my hair hydrated?

Thank you so much!!

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

My advice is to get away from hair straighteners as soon as possible. They mess up your hair so bad. Trust me you'll regret it when your my age. Hair won't grow, so many different layers that are like 1 inch long, can't do anything with it. Yeah so try to get away from them if possible.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

any flat iron dries ur hair!!!!

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

Jibrere Tourmaline................and a great glosser, ask the girls at Sally Beauty supply, they will be happy to help.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

infiniti by conair is amazing! and it lets you choose the exact temperature so you can choose one of the lower ones. its only $50 and you can get it about anywhere

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

being a mobile hairdresser for years,i wouldnt recomend hair straightners, they ruin your hair, and if you have fine hair you hair will break easier.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

Yes, you are correct CHI is definitely the best...you should check and see if they have any straighteners that have a lower temp. or you could always use Kenra Thermal Styling Spray, which will protect your hair against the high temperatures of straighteners.

I too have very dry hair, and Redken has a lot of products that can make your hair look and feel much healthier. You should try Redken AllSoft Heavy Creme, Redken Butter Treat, or Redken Extreme Deep Conditioner. These products are all wonderful for dry hair.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

Yes, there are products that help and work but all you have to do is some research. Here's a website that will help you decide what straightener is right for you. I bought mine from this website and I couldn't be happier with my purchase (it is a Solia). They have tons of reviews with pictures.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

I would go with the Aveda ceramic hair streightner it has a warranty and multiple temp controls. Also for drying of the hair try aquage, its a bit pricey but WELL worth it, its a must have.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

theres a mary-kate and ashley brand hair straightener that straitens your hair whether you came out of the shower or you are just styling it. It really does work well.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

Since you don't have thick curly hair a drugstore brand would work just as well as professional tools. I have curly hair and I use Remington Wet 2 Straight ceramic straightener. It can be used on wet to moist hair and has a vent on the side for the steam. I think it cost about $40 at Longs Drugs.

CERAMIC Hair Straighteners.. Help?

Try True Ceramic Pro it's supposed to be the best thing out there...

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Hello again...I love hard core swimming...I have this leave-in conditioner that I will start using every time that I get out of the water (swimming starts tonight). What else can I do to keep my hair smooth during swim season. And is there anything that i can do during my off-season to prepare my hair for the disaster that comes with a chlorine filled pool????????

Also: My sister (age 9) uses this...but she has scraggly hair Probably because she is a tomboy and doesn't really care about her hair. However, she is starting to gain interest about her hair. This conditioner makes her hair a little better, but not by much.

AlSO: she has bleach blonde hair (naturally) and I have dirty blonde hair. She has thin hair...I have thick hair. She has straight hair.....and i have wavy hair.

Please be serious about this...THANKS

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Before you get in the pool wet your hair with non-chlorinated water - your hair is like a sponge absorbing water, so if you allow it to absorb non-chlorinated water first, it won't be able to absorb so much chlorinated water.

Another less popular, but very effective, way to protect your hair in the swimming pool is to wear a swimming cap.

You must also condition your hair with a daily conditioner and use a weekly deep conditioner.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

For you I would definetly recommend Pantene smoothing conditioner. It keeps your hair smooth and it gets rid of knots. It really works well.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Maybe a swimming cap?? Does not look good, but will help your hair :) Also Joico K Pac helps, cost a lil more but works!!

My hair: a swimming disaster?

lol

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Try Garnier Fructis Beach Hair (or something along those lines)...it should work

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Try Taking Some Vitamins also

My hair: a swimming disaster?

What's the name of the conditioner you use, I need to use that myself? Same problem, chlorine.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

I Have Those Days To. Its Called A Bad Hair Day.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

i think there is stuff you can for swimmers. do you wear a swimming cap it would help.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Chlorine does dry hair and will change the color of bleached blond. Why not try a stylish swim cap.Otherwise I would recommend a hot oil tx.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

Try using a swim cap. This will cut down on the exposure your hair has to the chlorine in the pool. If you just don't want to use a swim cap, be sure to wash your hair immediately after swimming (while it is still damp). Then, apply a regular (rinse away) conditioner (let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing). Then apply the leave in conditioner and style your hair.

My hair: a swimming disaster?

i have thick dyed blonde curly hair and i use redken curly shampoo and conditioner, my leave in conditioner is the best it is called kerasilk conditioner. it comes in gray bottle. i am not a swimmer but it always works on my hair. give it a try

My hair: a swimming disaster?

i use head and sholders for my hair

Help with hair issue.?

I have thin hair, not straggly thin but thin. Anyways everytime I go out in windy conditions my hair get horrible knots in it, is there a way to prevent this? I know that wearing my hair up is an obvious answer but it's winter in MI and wearing my hair up every day is not practical. I was wondering if maybe a certain cut would work but I don't want short hair either. Any ideas would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks!

Help with hair issue.?

TRY Braiding "IT" wHEn Outside !

Help with hair issue.?

Why don't you just braid it when you are out doors, and unbraid it when you get in.

It doesn't really sound like you want to cut your hair, just get better control of it.

I clip mine up when I leave my office, and and unclip it when I get home...

Thinning out hair.?

I have thick hair. Its sort of long and every time I get out of the shower its sort of wavy like right in the middle, I also have layers but the hair dresser barley did anything so it kind of blends in. So, I decided I might get my hair thinned out (w/razor) but I just want to make sure its ok for my hair and won't damage it. Do you recommend it? If so, how do I exactly explain this to the hair dresser?

Thinning out hair.?

its a horrible idea! dont ever do that! itll damage your hair!

Thinning out hair.?

i have thick hair too.

i used to get it thinned, but it was still puffy and stuff

then i went to a different place and they layered it. it helped sooo much! its a lot thinner feeling, not as bulky, and looks wayy better when its down.

just ask for layers so that your hair looks thinner, and they should know what you mean.

hope i helped : )

Thinning out hair.?

Yes.

Thinning works AMAZINGLY.

I got it trimmed at cut my hair straightening time from 45 minutes to just over 20.

Just ask him/her to thin it, they'll understand right away!

Happy thinning!

:]

Hair weaves or extentions?

Has anyone with really thin hair ever got hair weaves or extentions? if so, how what did you get and how did the look? Were you still able to wash and style your hair like normal? Have you gotten then removed? When they were removed did they damage your own hair and pull any out? Sorry so many questions, but this is something I am thinking of doing to my own thin hair to give it more volume and thickness. Thanks

Hair weaves or extentions?

My mom said it's much better to use extensions if you want your hair to look more natural and with extension you have a better chance of it not falling out.

Hair weaves or extentions?

Extentions.....weaves scare me....I imagine all the pain the people go through.

Once I saw something on America's Next Top Model, a girl was getting a weave and it didnt look very good so the decided to take it out and cut all her hair out. Im sure that wont happen to you, but she was in so much pain.

I just say get extentions.....they seem like a better way to go.

閳?br>Hair weaves or extentions?

if u get a hair weve it depends on if u get glew or sew in that looks much more natural but if u use glue it can make ur hair come out with the weve so i suggest getting a sew in

as long as u use real hair it should be able to be styled normally

Does cre-c shampoo really work for thinning hair?

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

I'm thinking about making my hair a bit thinner. My hair is VERY thick. It's 2.5 inches long and it's black. Am I ready to go to a barber shop and have them use thinning scissors? I don't want it extremely thinned out, but just to the point where it doesn't look frizzy and I don't want my hair to look like a freaking bush. Think it could work out?

Any past experiences with having your hair thinned with these scissors? Thanks.

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

Thinning scissors are a Godsend for those of us "cursed" with obscenely thick hair.. every cut or trim I get I make sure they thin my hair.. works great if you go to someone who knows what they are doing.. I suggest you go to a well known salon in your area where they are more likely to know what they are doing.. if the hairdresser asks "WHAT?" then say nevermind and try somewhere else.. after you have your hair thinned you will notice a HUGE difference.. its the best feeling ever.. ha-ha.. good luck I hope this helps

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

I have to have thinning shears used every time i get my hair cut. They work fine, just dont let them go overboard. My hairdresser always uses them and i love it after she does.

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

itt looked bad get it cut in layers instead

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

yes

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

I have really thick hair also...Everytime I had my hair cut I would have them thin it out...Really doesnt do much because its so thick

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

IT'll work, my friend's hair is REALLY thick and her mom thinned her hair with thinning shears for horses.. which only costs like 6 bucks and it turned out really good.

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

yeah totally. my friend had it done. she was asian (haha still is) and had THIIIIIIIICK hair. so thick! got thinning scissors done, and so much better. not too dramatic looking, just nice and smooth and light. go for it!

tell them what you want, too.

I have very thick hair - thinning scissors now?

I've got very thick frizzy curly hair and had it thinned by having layers put in it. It looked great at the time and for a little while after; however once my hair grew again the frizz came back and because it was in different layers certain areas stuck out :/ it took about three years to grow out - But I guess if you have it thinned regularly it would work really well!

Good hairstyles for thin hair?

My hair is about shoulder length(a little longer), straight, and dirty blonde. I am NOT planning to cut it very short or color it. I am looking for styling tips, hairstyles, and products to make it look thicker and fuller- or at least not horribly thin and flat. Thanks in advance!

Good hairstyles for thin hair?

you could buy pantene pro v volumizing or thickening shampoo and conditioner and use that then flip your hair over once its still a little damp and spray a little bit of hold spray on the top, then blowdry it on low heat until its completely dry, then you will have thicker hair until you wet your hair again.

also after using the shampoo%26amp;conditioner and have your hair air dry for a bit, braid your hair into sections to make waves and sleep with your hair in the braids and the next morning you can have thick wavy hair

Good hairstyles for thin hair?

The best way to make thin hair appear fuller is by layering it, this gives the illusion theat your is thicker than it really is and it adds alot of volume and its works well with any face shape. Any kind of foaming pomade will also make it appear fuller.

Good hairstyles for thin hair?

I've got the same problem. I also have the same hair length. Weird. Anyway, I cut it so it was longer in the front than in the back. It became fuller and bouncier. Also, consider using a round brush, It makes it fuller. I used a bit of hair spray at the ends and inside of hair (part that touches cheek and back of neck). It made it appear thicker. Good Luck!

Guy Needing Hair Help?

I'm a guy in need of some hair help. My hair is about medium-long length, about 6.5" - 7" (16cm - 18cm), on the top and a little shorter around the sides and the back. it is a real pain in the *** because it's really thin hair on the top, that seems to have little volume and goes flat, and a little more coarse on the bottom. I've been trying to think of ideas to style it. I would like to keep my hair a little long. And I'm not the type of guy who goes to a hair salon to get it styled. But I'm willing to give it a try. What I'm looking for is ideas and recommendations to on how to deal the thin hair on the top and also some style ideas.

Thanks!

Guy Needing Hair Help?

Cut it in layers. You might want to go to a hair dresser's for this. For everyday styling, you can use a thickening mousse on damp hair. Then comb the bottom sections while pushing towards the scalp and then combing (this time with the fingers) the top while pulling the hair away from the scalp. Using a brush with boar bristles will also help in flattening the hair where it needs to be and fluffing/back combing it without damage elsewhere. You can finish off with some wax, serum or hair spray.

Guy Needing Hair Help?

my hair is unbearably thin as well, but there are various shampoos to give it some strength

i use Garnier, it helps alot.

I cut my hair myself. It is very choppy and layered, with TONS of volume that comes from extraneous teasing and hair spraying and straightening

Guy Needing Hair Help?

have u tried a holding gel and holding spray, hair style spikes on the top give the illusion of thicker hair, or u could try to place alot of gel on ur hair and scrunch the top slicking down the sides! good luck

the only way is to go to a barber and ask to thin it out they can do that

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Give me some ime thinning....

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

layers

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Go to your hair stylist and get them to layer your hair.

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

You can have it thinned at the hairdressers, and sometimes straightening seems to make it look thinner.

=)

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Go to a hair dresser and ask them to thin your hair. They do a good job

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

There isnt any products to make your hair thinner, however when you go to the hairdressers you can ask them to thin it out for you :D x

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Have the hairstylist thin it out by adding layers.

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Get more layers. DO NOT get your hair thinned out like everybody says because it actually makes your hair grow back even thicker.

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

ask yur stylist to texturise it with a razor!!!

i had that done and now my hair is totaly sey! not meaning to brag! but it works!

~~ good luck!!

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Cut or shave it.

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

layer it.....but use scissors as using razor could damage your hair....

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Why would you want to. Thick hair is nice on a woman. Best way is probably the hair dresser.

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

Just be patient and wait a few years, it worked for me, then the question becomes "what happened and how do I get it back"?

I have really thick hair how can i make it thin?

nothing can make your hair thin if its naturly thick it will allways be that way you can make it a bit lighter by having layers but you will have to style your hair so if your the kind that doesnt bother with your hair dont do that,or you can have it thinned out with thinning scissors but these take out bulk in the hair to create more or a lighter feel.

hope i have helped

My hair is thinning at the front and sides.....?

I've noticed this since Aug 07 and i've had nasty comments when i've been out about it, it's not that bad but people seem to use it to make fun of me.

I'm going to see my Doctor about it next week, to see if it's genetics, or through medicine etc.

Do hair thickening shampoo's/conditioners actually help?

I've never used them, but if they did wouldnt celebs who have hair thinning have used these products to improve the hair and hair growth. Any tablets i can use from health shops to improve hair growth/hair thinning?
