Hair thinning question?

I'm 21yrs. old african american male w/ a full head of hair. I have small areas on each side of my head close to my ear were the hair there is thinner than the rest of my head. Similar to when a guy gets a taper hair cut except I don't get those. It's not bad like I'm going bald but I would like it to grow evenly w/ the rest of my hair. There's no known baldness among parents, relatives or anything. Any products I can try to make my hair thicker or fuller?

Hair thinning question?

Try Nioxion- the smoothing ones ( they are for thicker/coarcer hair) They acutally clean the scalp so newer hair can grow- I have a lot of clients that love it. Also another note the ones that are for chemically treated hair (colored hair) are more moistrizing then ones that are aren't. I would give them a try- they got differnt products to- Just don't get it at a grocery store becase their not allowed to be there- meaning what happens his grocery stores get expired products that and their probably not the right product ( same packaging filled with something else) This goes for any salon product such as Redkin, Paul Mitchell, Bead Head, Sexy Hair, Rusk- To name a few...

not really just keep the head phones sun glasses the things that you use around the ears at bay.

Hair thinning question?

Professional answer:

I used to work for the Hair Club For Men back in the eighties and a great deal of the guys were your age. I was seventeen and I had to ask them their age because they looked so young like I was at the time, I never knew guys lost their hair at such a young age.

I wasn't crazy about the hair system (pieces) for African American hair because they had a hard time matching the hairpiece texture to the client. As you know, not all men of color have the same texture.

The other thing about attached hairpieces is, you have to make sure you rinse the shampoo out thoroughly, or it will make you lose even more hair. Some guys were not good at that part and it was disgusting to deal with.

If it is possible to rule out any hair services, medications, recent illnesses or stress or diet, see if you could contact a tricologist because there might be some underlying reason that your hair is coming out.

I had a hot professor in college about five years ago (he was in his late thirties) who shaved his head because he started losing his hair and it made him look really young in a good way.

In the end, the choice is yours. I think it's very hot to cut the hair down if you losing it and be meticulous and just keep it groomed.

Warning: if you decide to go bald (shaving that is) be careful not to be out in the sun right away without a hat because your scalp can get sunburned. Just because you are a brotha, doesn't mean you can't get surnburned.
