Has anyone ever dyed their hair a lot , and it starts to thin, but do it every 2 months anyway???

what kind of hair dye do you guys use if your have dark brn hair, and want a dramatic look. i want to dye it real light brown, to golden brn but i'm afraid my hair is gonna fall off more. anyone experiencing what i'm experiencing and still continue to dye their hair? if yes, what kind of hair dye that's healthy?

it sounds like you've already taken it too far and if you ant your hair GIVE IT A BREAK

I'd rather have dull hair than no hair just splurge if you must and get a pro to do it

No hair dye is healthy if your lightning. But keep going. All that's happening is sometimes the hair stresses out when its dyed over so be sure to only re-do the roots every 2 months. When it stresses it breaks, it does not burn out the hair cuticle. I have been Bleaching my hair with 12% bleach for 5 years now and my thick hair has turned to thin but i like it. Your hair will always grow back!

Dyeing your hair will always damage it regardless of the product you use. With that said, some over-the-counter dyes that give you dramatic results such as Feria will dry your hair out even more. The basic rule is, if you lighten, you tend to damage your hair more than if you darken it. Even aside from the actual damage, your hair will look thinner the lighter you go. My advice would be to go ahead and dye your hair but be careful to only dye the incoming roots as they come in every few months. Too many people have the bad tendency to dye their entire head for a touch up and that just damages your hair more. Also, using a product like Roux Porosity Control might help to keep your hair a bit more healthy after you dye it. Good luck!

ive dyed my hair for about 10 years. every month i dyed it and every month it got worse. i left it go for over a year now and my hair is healthier than ever. if you want to keep your color going and you dont want your hair to break off anymore then i suggest you just do touch ups. either highlight it ever 2 months or just get your roots done. you dont want to go too far that youll have to cut it all off and start over.

Stop dying your hair for about 4 weeks- and use a good vitamin and deep conditioning regimen- your healthy hair should start to return- try a hair regimen made for thinning or dry hair. After about 4 weeks (if you can wait longer- go for it- but I know how bad the urge to dye gets- especially when your roots start showing) I use Garnier 100% color with no problems, other than the dry hair that comes with chemically treating it. Or you can look for a hair dye made for ethnic or darker hair- I think Garnier makes a variety of this as well.

If you still have problems dyeing your hair a lighter brown, you may have to lighten it with bleach before you dye it. If you have to go that route- go to a salon! Try a cosmetology school if you're worried about the cost. But trust me- if you need to bleach go with a professional- otherwise it could get real ugly, real fast.

I had really damaged hair if you can get it the color you want and just dye your roots as they grow in instead of dying your whole head. That is what my stylist told me. And if your hair is breaking off you might want to start using a really good deep conditioner and i recommend Redken Anti-snap it worked for my hair and my hair got really healthy also when i just started dying my roots.

There is no healthy hair dye but i use Loreal Feria because it is the only one that doesn't dry my hair out.

Good luck
