You can thin it out at the salon, however...I would not recommend doing this unless you are going to do it all the time! It's just like with anything...the more you shave the thicker it's going to grow back and more of it as well! It's the same thing with thinning out your hair! I know because my mother used to take me to get my hair thinned and now that I am old enough to make my own decision about my hair...I WILL NOT EVER GET MY HAIR THINNED OUT AGAIN!

The best thing I can think of is to Flat iron it, but get a really good one. Not all flat irons are created equal.

Why would you wanna do that??!! a lot of people wish that they have thick hair. Just be happy that you do, and forget about wanting it to be thin! There are ways you can tame it like flat ironing it or maybe using another styling product. But do not wish for thin hair. Thick hair is a sign of healthy hair.

Just my opinion but you should embrace your hair, time will thin it out look at your older female relatives. I would advise that you just relax, and straighten it. But don't cut it cause with it having the sissored sections you're going to limit how you can style it. Good luck, don't cut.
