I got my hair thinned...?

I went to a Super Cuts hair salon. I told the lady who did my hair that I wanted it thinned with thinning shears. But when she did, she just trimmed the very tips of my hair with the thinning shears. My hair is still very thick and there's no difference. What was the whole point of what she did?

I just got my hair cut half in length and in thickness...but I went to a professional salon...yes you pay for it but all-in-all turned out great...don't forget to get products when you do go...I went to an Aveda Salon...good luck!

BTW: at first it's very different but you learn to work with it...

Perhaps she thought she was doing the right thing/what you asked. But maybe she was afraid of thinning it too much? Who's to say why she did it, but if you see no difference, then I'd either go back and ask her to fix it to your liking, or find another stylist.

Would go to another salon.Before the hairdresser starts the trim,tell her exactly what you want,and if she will do this.

I went to Van Micheal's hair salon and this woman did the exact thing.

Uhmm next time make sure you let them know, that you would like alot of your hair thinned out with thinning shears. I would really recommend to thin just from your ears back and down. Not the top, see what happens is if they thin your hair from top to bottom. It then later shows flyaways, and then it seems you got split ends. So next time you go just tell them if they can please thin out the whole bottom layer of hair all the way to your nape. Or should I say neck.

Thats odd..She may not know how to do it...Go back and tell the owner/manager what she did and have them fix it...They wont charge you and you'll get it done right this time, hopefully....
