you could go to the salon and get your hair permed or get a relaxer. that'll make your her nice and straight even after youve washed. i saw a man get his hair permed on this show on the style channel and it came out very nice.
but you could buy some hair serum at the drugstore in the hair section. that helps to straighten frizzy or curly hair but its not permanent

Get it layered and if you like the look use a straightener (flat iron) so hair looks longer.
